The use of this jig head goes back to an article in a fishing magazin in 1995 that everybody found very interesting - but nobody ever followed with action as it was.... innovative. Bait it with lugworm or ragworm and let it drag over the bottom. Either by drift or by caat & retrieve, depending on the circumstances. There is something about this jig that attracts flatfish, probably the wiggle it puts on the worm at every twitch and bottom contact. The broad lip is not being swallowed by flatfish, making unhoking very easy on the fish. Because of the gentle retrieve and the good lure/bait contact, Cod are being perfectly lip-hooked, too.
The combination of easy re-baiting without a needle, quick unhooking and quick respond of the fish to visual and accustic stimulus instead of slow traveling scent puts your flounder fishing at a pace you may not be accustomed to. This is as much fun as it gets, with the lightest possible tackle!

Hook size (1/0) and weight is optimized for avoiding small fish. If you need lighter ones, please ask for custom work, I wiould be glad to learn about international customer`s preferences.
